Granular Modulation
The phonograin granular module focuses on granular synthesis and offers five exclusive Ear Candy Technologies features for modifying grain processing, as well as four parameters for customizing your playback.
The environment module offers the option of adding audio elements to be used as background or to be part of the processing. Phonograin contains 6 different ambient sounds.
Sidechain
The amplitude of the input signal will be modulated with the waveform of the selected function.
Effects
This module provides three different effects that can be added to the signal processing. Choose between Reverb, Phaser or Flutter.

- ○ Create an account within the Ear Candy Technologies page.
- ○ Make the purchase of the plugin or select the trial mode.
- ○ Download the Phonograin installer, located in the products tab within the user profile, from the official Ear Candy Technologies website. (Note: Check which installer you need according to your operating system).
- ○ Execute the installer.
- ○ Verify that the installer has the right path of installation so your DAW can recognize Phonograin.
- ○ Note: The Ear Candy Technologies folder located in your documents has the files so you can enjoy the presets, so it is not recommended to delete it.
- ○ Open the plugin in your preferred DAW and enter your account credentials to authorize the Phonograin license.

- ○ What is modified with the pads?
The pads are used to modify the characteristics of the grains used in the granular synthesis, being able to modify the rate, size, pitch and offset of the grain.
- ○ How does the sidechain work?
If the sidechain module is enabled, the amplitude of the input signal will be modulated with the waveform of the selected function.
- ○ Can the effects be combined?
Yes, the effects section is designed so that each effect can be applied and modified individually. Therefore you can apply all the effects if you wish.
- ○ How many days does the trial mode last?
You can use Phonograin for free for 7 days, after which you will no longer have access to it unless you purchase a license.
- ○ Does it work in any DAW?
It works in any DAW that allows the use of VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats.
- ○ Which OS is compatible with?
It works perfectly with Windows and Mac OS with the following versions and later:

MacOS Yosemite 10.10+
- ○ What do I do if my OS do not let me install the plug-in?
To authorize the Phonograin installer you must:
Windows: Click on "More Information" in the Windows window that appears and "Run".
MacOS: Go to preferences, enter the security section and authorize the installer to run.
- ○ Why can't I see the AU format in my DAW?
This situation can be solved by simply restarting the computer.
